audience research magazine

During our media lesson we were asked to produce a questionnaire to discover what college students would like to see in a magazine that would only be available to the college. I asked 10 questions to 10 people. a few of the questions i asked where would you subscribe, would you prefer daily, weekly or monthly releases and are you male or female. And I found out that students would like an informal monthly magazine that is £2, covers information on the college, movie and music reviews for both genders aged 16-18 years old without subscriptions. If i where to do this again i would try to think of more relevent questions, for example i asked how old are you when i knew that the students are all aged between 16 and 18 years old, so this information did not help. I would also ask a lot more people so that i can get more precise results, i can not determine what the dominant gender is based on 10 people if i had asked more people i would be able to find out whether the magazine should lean more towars a male or female audience. Some questions such as the one about subscriptions do not need a lot of people to get good results because alost everyone answered the same. I think that this questionaire was helpful in finding how i should make a magazine for the college.
